Summercamp is a sprawling and very comfortable family compound situated directly on 300 feet of oceanfront beach. The property's four structures consist of a two-story main house (with walk-around decking), a separate guest house with full bath and second sink, an enormous entertainment deck, an entertainment building with 1/2 bath and enclosed outdoor shower, plus a separate two-golf-cart garage/laundry room/work area.

From the top of the property a concrete driveway (lined with a lighted coral wall landscaped with palm trees, Hawaiian seagrape and bougainvilla) leads from the garage to the perimeter road of the island. From the guest house, a grassy stepped terrace leads to the "parking area" at the road.

Summercamp is yours "turnkey." Show up with some groceries and you are set for fine livin'.

The main house has hinged wooden window awnings that serve as hurricane shutters. The glass french doors on the first and second floors and guest house meet Dade/Broward county code for hurricane protection. All doors have phantom screens. The kitchen is furnished with side-by-side refrigerator/freezer, separate ice-maker, glass top stove/oven, dishwasher, disposal unit, microwave and toaster oven, double stainless sink, built in cabinets, breakfast counter, and walk-in pantry. There is satellite TV in the living area. All rooms are cooled with ceiling fans; the downstairs bedroom, guest house and bar have wall air conditioning units.

The downstairs includes living/dining area, kitchen, guest bedroom with two twin size beds and double bunk area, with a full bathroom in between.

The second floor master bedroom has a king-size built-in bed. In the master bathroom you will have his/her sinks, a shower/tub as well as his/her closets. The view from the balcony off the master bedroom is one of the highlights of any day.

The guest house has an ocean view, built in cabinets/shelves, built-in king size bed as well as toilet, shower and two sinks.

The 2 cart garage is equipped with washer, dryer, utility table, bait freezer, side by side freezer/fridge, large sink, lots of shelves and stores a scuba compressor, scuba tanks and spears, fishing poles, a pressure cleaner, a 2-seat and a 6-seat golf cart, plus two 8v chargers and two 12v chargers. Both carts are electric Club Car brand with aluminum chassis (important in terms of corrosion). The 2-seat cart has an aluminum 4-sided tray for hauling trash, etc. The 6-seat cart is perfect for families and guests. Two gas generators provide back-up electric power if public power is inoperative.

The bar/entertainment building has one-of-a-kind nautical ambience which includes a coral fireplace, full size sambros skittle pool table (English pub game), double stainles steel sinks, icemaker, drinks refrigerator, wine glass racks, built in wine bottle racks, wall air conditioning, half bath, outdoor enclosed shower that doubles as the "beach shower", fold out sofa-bed that makes the bar a guest house, pass through outdoor bar counter and another outdoor bar counter that overlooks the beach, reef and ocean.

The enormous deck has seating areas on two sides of the house so you can choose to be in the breeze/sun or out of the wind/sun. The deck is made of "waterproof tropicoat wood" and is lined by bench seating. The deck provides a walkway around all four sides of the main house and three sides of the bar. In the large deck space connecting the main house with the bar there is a 4-seat electric heated spa and a lighted "gazebo" for afternoon shade, hammock time, or evening entertainment.

The driveway is concrete and lined with a rock wall and solar lights. Guests can park their carts "up the hill near the house". There is also a solar-lighted terrace walkway down to a roadside parking area.

Runway/airpark, protected marina dockspace, tennis privileges and our 26'4" Intrepid with twin 225 Yamahas are available for purchase. The electric boat lift capacity is 9,000 lbs.
